A day long training was held on February 19, 2019, on nutrition for family members of child labour. The venue of the training was held at Bhaghel Ashram, Azadnagar, Firozabad. Participants from all six locations, Azadnagar, Shyamnagar, Ramnagar, Mehtabnagar, Vijaynagar and Charbagh were present during the meeting.

The objectives of the training were:

• To inform about functioning and services of aganwadi centres of government for addressing health and nutrition issues of infant children, pregnant women, lactating mothers and adolescents
• To inform about mid day meal in government schools
• To bring clarity about Food Security Act and related entitlements

Points of Discussion

• Open discussion held about services of aaganwadi centres of government for addressing health and nutrition issues of infant children, pregnant women, lactating mothers and adolescents
• Benefit of mid day meal for school attending children in government school
• Ensuring access over benefit of food security act among eligible families especially child labour and freed child labour families

At the end of the training the participants became aware about health and nutrition specific services of aganwadi centres and government schools. The participants also became aware of accessing benefits of Food Security Act.
